Donald George Whitby

Donald George Whitby served in the U.S. Army Air Forces from August 1944 until June 1946.

He was assigned to the 20th Air Force. At war's end, he participated in the Sunset Project, returning B-29's, B-24's, and other aircraft as well as troops, to the United States. His rank was Sergeant.

Mr. Whitby was born in Duluth, Minnesota, on April 2, 192_, the son of George and Alice Whitby. He graduated from high school in 1944.
