Donald G. Tekautz

Donald G. Tekautz served in World War II in the European Theater in the U.S. Army Air Forces. He entered the service in June of 1945.

Mr. Tekautz was born in Virginia, Minnesota, in 1926, to Charles and Tressa Tekautz. He graduated from high school in 1944.

He served in Germany assigned to the 926th Signal Battalion and the XII (12th) Tactical Air Command and rose to the rank of Technical Sergeant 3rd Class. 

He was awarded the: World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany).

He was discharged on October 11, 1946.
