He was awarded the follwing: Good Conduct Medal, Presidential Unit Citation with Oak Leaf Cluster, American Defense Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and four overseas service bars.
Mr. Thronson was honorably discharged on August 24, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
