David B. Cameron

David B. Cameron of Hibbing, Minnesota enlisted in the Army Air Corps on Sept. 24, 1942.

He was a technical sergeant, radio operator, gunner and aircraft mechanic with the 3505th Army Air Forces Base Unit, Squadron A, Scott Field. He served in the Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno in Italy plus in northern France and the Balkans air offensives.

He received the:

Distinguished Flying Cross,
Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters,
European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with six bronze battle stars,
American Defense Service Medal,
World War II Victory Medal and an overseas service bar.

He was discharged on Aug. 31, 1945.
