JAMES, Curtis Arthur
Curtis Arthur James was born on May 2nd 1914 to Arthur Charlie & Thresia Ernesta [Strohmeyer] James in Duluth, Minnesota.
Mr. James was inducted into the U.S. Army on February 22nd 1945 during WWII.
He served as a ward boy in the post-operative ward and ambulance driver at Fort Riley, Kansas. He also served as a clerk at the regimental hospital in the emergency room and psychiatric ward. He rose to the rank of Private First Class (PFC).
PFC James was honorably separated from the service on December 24th 1946. After the war he returned home and married Esther Irene [Uppgard] and they started a family.
Mr. James died on November 24th 1996 at 82 years of age in Oceola, Michigan. He is buried at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
