Clark M.Howe joined the U.S. Naval Reserve during his senior year at Denfeld High School on February 19, 1945.
He went to basic training at Great Lakes Naval Training Center and was assigned to the Attack Cargo ship USS Whitley AKA-91. He served in the Pacific theater in the Phillipines and in Occupied Japan.
He was discharged in Minneapolis on July 15, 1946 as a Seaman 1st Class.
