Clarence V. Johnson of Duluth was inducted into the Army on August 13, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Technician 4th Grade and instrument man with Battery C of the 939th Field Artillery Battalion in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.
Mr. Johnson received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on November 1, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
