Clarence H. Soder

Clarence H. Soder entered the Army on December 29, 1942. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and a military policeman with the 557th Escort and Guard Company in Leyte, Philippines. He guarded Japanese prisoners of war until the war’s end. He was set to go on the invasion of Japan when the atom bomb ended the war.

Mr. Soder was discharged on February 20, 1946.
