ANDERSON, Clarence E.
Clarence E. Anderson inducted into the Army Air Corps June 12th 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.
He served as a Technical Sergeant (TSGT) and administrative NSO with Headquarters 17th Bomb group in Northern France, Central Europe, and Rhineland. He was wounded in action on February 27th 1945.
For his service to the country he was awarded the following:
- Purple Heart,
- European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars,
- World War II Victory Medal, -and-
- five overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged November 10th 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
