Charles Wesley Lauritsen served in World War II. He was inducted into the U.S. Marine Corps on August 21, 1945.

He was assigned to the Department of the Pacific, San Francisco. He was discharged on August 30, 1946.

After World War II, Mr. Lauritsen joined the Marine Reserve, where he served for several years. His rank was Private First Class.

Mr. Lauritsen was born in 1927 in Faribault, Minnesota, the son of Wesley and LaReine Lauritsen. He graduated from high school in 1945.
