Mr. Baxter entered the Army on August 15, 1942.

He served as a First Lieutenant and supply oficer with the Corps of Engineers  at the 11th Replacement Depot in the European Theater.

He was honorably discharged on January 26, 1945, at Rhoads Army General Hospital, Utica, New York.
