Mr. Lamont received the: Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, American Defense Service Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with two bronze stars, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on October 18, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
