Charles A. Stephens

Charles A. Stephens was inducted into the Army on April 24, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fourth Grade and locomotive engineer with Company C of the 713 Railway Operating Battalion in Tunisia, North Africa; Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno, Italy; Southern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Mr. Stephen was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with six bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on September 4, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
