Charles Shindler of Kelsey, Minnesota was assigned to the U S 9th Air Corps, 463 Squadron during World War II.

He was a past Commander of the Cotton, Minnesota and Meadowlands, Minnesota VFW Post 3044. He was also a member of American Legion Post 239 in Virginia, Minnesota.

Charles died August 25, 2002, at the age of 89.
