Charles J. Konu

Charles J. Konu of Soudan, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on August 7, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He was a Technician 5th Grade and rigger with Company F, 542nd Engineer Boat and Shore Regiment in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Konu received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze star for the New Guinea campaign, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on December 12, 1944 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
