Charles Donald Wenberg was born on July 8th 1918 to Charles Armandus & Melfa Orinda [Randall] Wenberg in Atkinson, Minnesota.
Mr. Wenberg entered the regular United States Army on October 31st 1940 just before the start of World War II. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.
He served at Headquarters, 1st Battalion and Headquarters Detachment. He rose to the rank of Master Sergeant. He was honorably discharged after the war on November 15th 1945.
He married Hazel Irene Warner in 1946 and they started a family.
SGT Wenberg rejoined the Army on January 29th 1946, and served as a First Lieutenant in the 2nd Regiment. He was discharged on August 8th 1946.
Mr. Wenberg again re-entered the Army for a 3rd time on April 9th 1948, and served as a First Lieutenant in the 1st Infantry during the Korean War until he was discharged on November 26th 1952.
Mr. Wenberg died on August 26th 1961 at the age of 43 years. He is buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Cotton, Minnesota.
