“Was sent to Italy. We went over on a ship. After 10 days we arrived in Italy, then shipped to northern Italy to the line with the 88th ‘Blue Devil’ Division, 350th Regiment, H Company. Stayed on the line ‘til moved back to central Italy. I became the company commander’s driver until I was shipped home.”
