Carl J. Nosan was inducted into the Army Air Corps on February 27, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
He served as a Technical Sergeant, armorer, and aerial gunner with the 319th Bombardment Group of the 12th Air Force in Rome-Arno, Northern Apennines, Italy; Southern France, Air Offensive Europe, and Air Combat Balkans.
Mr. Nosan was awarded the following: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with eight Oak Leaf Clusters, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, one overseas service bar, and French Croix de Guerre with Palm.
He was honorably discharged on July 21, 1945, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
