Carl O. Pederson of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army Air Corps on May 30, 1942.
He was a Sergeant and a photographer with the 110th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, serving on Papua, New Guinea, Bismarck Archipelago and the Philippines.
Mr. Pederson received the: Distinguished Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars, Philippine Liberation medal with a bronze star, World War II Victory Medal and six overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Oct. 13, 1945.
