Carl A. Mattson of Duluth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on March 13, 1943.

He was a Technician 5th Grade with the 148th Armored Signal Company, 8th Armored Division serving in the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Mattson received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with three bronze battle stars, American Campaign Service Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was discharged on March 2, 1946at Camp McCoy, Wis.
