Carl F. Schleinitz

Carl F. Schleinitz was inducted into the Army on April 14, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Meadowlands, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class with Headquarters Battery of the 480th Antiaircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion in Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Mr. Schleinitz was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on December 2, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
