Bruno E. Koskela of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on April 30, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Private First Class and a rifleman with Company A, 338th Infantry Regiment in Rome-Arno and North Apennines, Italy. He was wounded in action on January 25, 1945.
Mr. Koskela was awarded the: Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars and World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged on October 4, 1944 at Glennan Army General Hospital, Okmulgee, Okla.
