Brandol Hopia of Duluth, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on August 24, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Private First Class and truck driver in Service Company #2. He fought in ground combat in North Apennines and Po Valley, Italy.
Mr. Hopia was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.
He was honorably discharged December 5, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
