Awarded: Bronze Star Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Word War II Victory Medal, four overseas service bars, Bronze Arrowhead, and Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze battle star.
Mr. Arts was honorably discharged December 23, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
