Benhardt Hill of Makinen, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army September 20, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Technician 3rd Grade and vehicle mechanic in the 494th Ordnance Heavy Automotive Maintenance Company in the Pacific and European Theaters.
Mr. Hill was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.
He was honorably discharged March 7, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
