Mr. Axel Laine enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve on June 10, 1944.

He served as a Corporal and rifleman in Okinawa and the occupation of China.

Mr. Laine was awarded the: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on August 12, 1946, at Great Lakes, Illinois.
