Arvo S. Kailanen

Arvo S. Kailanen of Mountain Iron, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on May 1, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was a Staff Sergeant and served as a ship carpenter with the 186th General Hospital in Northern France.

Mr. Kailanen received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was Staff Sergeant discharged on May 14, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
