Arvo Kallio was inducted into the Army Air Corps on June 20, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Staff Sergeant and radar repairman with Detachment 8th Signal Radio Team. He served 31 months with the 11th Air Force, based in Alaska and Aleutian Islands, installing and repairing radar equipment in aircraft.
Mr. Kallio received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged on November 10, 1945 at Santa Ana, Calif.

Arvo Kallio entered the Army Air Corps on July 3, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: St. Paul, Minnesota.
He served as a Staff Sergeant and radar repairman with 11th Air Force in the Aleutian Islands. Was sent to signal corps radar school in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduation, went to Adak in the Aleutian Islands. Installed and repaired radar equipment. He was often loaned to Navy to work on their radar.
Mr. Kallio was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.
He was honorably discharged on November 11, 1945, at Santa Ana, California.
