Arvo J. Turpela

Arvo J. Turpela was inducted into the Army on October 15, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

Mr. Turpela served as a Private with 4152nd Quartermaster Depot Company Supply in the European Theater. He participated in the Sicilian and Italian campaigns.

He was awarded the following: European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars and World War II Victory Medal.

Mr. Turpela was honorably discharged on December 21, 1944, from the 4152nd Quartermaster Depot Company Supply, Bruns General Hospital, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
