Arvo F. Hendrickson of Zim, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on May 28, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He was a Technician 3rd Grade in Company F of the 147th Infantry Regiment in the Aleutian Islands.

Mr. Hendrickson was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged December 26, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
