Arvo E. Salo

Arvo E. Salo was inducted into the Army on June 13, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Embarrass, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class at the Prisoner Of War Detachment Separation Center in the European Theater at Naples-Foggia, Italy.

He was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on December 18, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
