Arvid W. Kaukola of Orr, Minnesota enlisted in the Army on January 29, 1944 at Minneapolis, Minn. 

He was a Corporal, and served as an airplane and engine mechanic with the 54th T C Squadron in the Pacific Theater.

He received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.

He was discharged on July 17, 1946 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
