Arvid J. Saari

Mr. Arvid J. Saari entered the Army on June 13, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. His home at entry: Mountain Iron, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class with Headquarters Company of the 1207th SCU Station Complement in North Africa: El Guettar, Tunisia; and Safi, Fr.  Morocco.

He was awarded: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on November 16, 1945, at Fort Slocum, NY.
