Arthur John Salo was born on September 9th 1909 to John Arvid & Elma Mathilda [Heikkila] Salo in Chisholm, Minnesota.
Mr. Salo was inducted into the Naval Reserve on September 16th 1943.
He served as a Motor Machinist''s Mate Second Class with the Ship Repair Unit during World War II.
He was honorably discharged on October 13th 1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After the war he returned home to his wife Ilmi Irene [Jarvi] and they raised a family.
Mr. Salo died on December 25th 1989 at the age of 80 years. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Chisholm.
