THAYER, Arthur Fay
Arthur Fay Thayer was born on March 14th 1914 to Arthur Sr. & Thayer in Virginia, Minnesota.
Mr. Thayer enlisted in the Coast Guard on May 5th 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He served as a Machinist’s Mate First Class aboard the CG Cutter Poplar in the continental U.S.
Mr. Thayer was honorably discharged on September 7th 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri.
After the war, he returned home and married Eunice Emily [Eldien]..
Mr. Thayer died on May 18th 1988 at the age of 74. He is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia, Minnesota.
