Arthur F. Mattson of Aurora, Minnesota was inducted in the Army on Oct. 29, 1942.
He was a Technician 4th Grade and an auto mechanic with the 41st Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.
Mr. Mattson received the: European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with three bronze battle stars, American Campaign Service and Medal World War II Victory Medal.
He received a disability discharge on Dec. 10, 1945 at the Hospital Center at Camp Carson, Colo.
