Arthur E. Puttonen of Meadowlands, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on April 19, 1943.
He was a Technician 5th Grade and a truck driver with Company B, 158th Engineer Battalion, serving in northern France, the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Puttonen received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars, and the World War II Victory Medal.
He was discharged on Nov. 11, 1945.
