Arthur E. Lee of Mentor, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on April 15, 1941.
He was a Private First Class and a truck driver with the Headquarters Battery in the 125th Field Artillery Battalion in Tunisia, North Africa and Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, North Apennines and Po Valley, Italy. He was wounded in action on January 4, 1944 in the Mediterranean Theater.
Mr. Lee received the: Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, American Defense Service Medal and six overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on June 28, 1945 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
