Arnold A. Oja of Aurora, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on March 28, 1941.
He was a Private First Class with Battery A, 462nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion. He spent 36 months in Kodiak, Alaska, and then went to the European Theater in December 1944, serving in the Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Oja received the: European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Defense Service Medal with a bronze battle star in lieu of clasp, American Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and seven overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Oct. 17, 1945.
