Mr. Baraga inducted into the Army on July 20, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant and an infantry squad leader with Headquarters Company of the Second Battalion of the 112th Infantry Regiment in Rhineland and Central Europe.

He received the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.

He was honorably discharged on November 16, 1945, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
