Anthony L. Stajer

Anthony L. Stajer entered the Army on February 3, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

He served as a Corporal with the 161st Infantry Regiment in Guadalcanal, Luzon, and North Solomons. He was twice wounded in action in 1943 and 1945.

He was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and Philippines Liberation Medal.

Mr. Stajer was honorably discharged on October 17, 1945, at Camp Carson, Colorado.
