Anthony J. Peternal

Anthony L. Peternal of Chisholm, Minnesota enlisted in the Army on Dec. 21, 1939.

He was a Sergeant and a range section non-commissioned officer with Battery B, 839th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion, serving in the Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr.Perternal received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.

He was discharged on Oct. 3, 1945.
