Anthony F. Smith

Anthony F. Smith entered the Army on June 10, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Biwabik, Minnesota. 

He served as a Private First Class and cannoneer with Battery C of the 152nd Field Artillery Battalion in Guadalcanal, New Guinea, Northern Solomons, and Luzon.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, six overseas service bars, and Philippine Liberation Medal with bronze star.

He was honorably discharged on November 13, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
