Angus M. Stewart

Angus M. Stewart was inducted into the Army on June 12, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class in Algeria-Fr. Morocco and Tunisia, North Africa; Sicily, and Rhineland. He was wounded in action in North Africa on March 28, 1943.

Mr. Stewart was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on October 2, 1945, from the 648th Army Postal Unit, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
