DelZOTTO, Angelo Peter
Angelo Peter DelZotto was born on January 31st 1923 to Osvaldo & Teresa [Gardonio] Del Zotto in Duluth, Minnesota. He went to school at the Unniversity of Minnesota/Duluth.
Mr. DelZotto enlisted in the U.S. Navy on November 23rd 1942. He served aboard the USS Acorn Twelve during World War II. He rose to the rank of Radioman 2nd Class (RD2).
RD Del Zotto was honorably discharged on January 20th 1946 and was decorated with a Purple Heart for wounds he incurred in battle. After the war he returned to the States and married Annie [Musto] in 1953 and they started a family.
Mr. Del Zotto died on September 23rd 2007, in Eugene, Oregon, at age 84. He is buried at Williamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
