Alexander "Davey" Ross served in World War II, in the European Theater including the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. Ross entered the U.S. Army in March 1944. He was discharged in May 1945.
He was a Private First Class and rifleman and truck driver with the 15th Infantry Regiment, 99th Infantry Division, and the 395th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. He served in northern France, the Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. He participated in the Battle of the Bulge at Remagen.
He was born November 18, 1925 in Eveleth, Minnesota.
Mr. Ross died at the age of 82 on June 15, 2008, in Duluth, Minnesota.
