Albin W. Gersich of Chisholm, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on June 29, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Private First Class and military policeman in Company A of the 516th MP Battalion in Tunisia, Sicily, Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno, Italy; Southern France, Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Gersich was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with bronze arrowhead, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on November 19, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
