Albert W. Sarell entered the Army on May 22, 1945. Home at entry: Embarrass, Minnesota.

He served as a Private with Company C of the 178th Battalion and 92nd Infantry Regiment Training Regiment in the continental United States. He was honorably discharged on November 28, 1945.

He reenlisted in the Regular Army on November 29, 1945, at Camp Hood, Texas. There he served as a Technician Fouth Grade and parts clerk with the 34th Engineer Combat Battalion in the Pacific Theater.

He was awarded the following: Army of Occupation Medal (Asia) and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on January 6, 1947, at Camp Beale, California.
