GORNICK, Albert Thomas
Albert Thomas Gornick was born on August 8th 1916 to John L. & Antonia [Petrusich] Gornick in Chisholm, Minnesota,
Mr. Gornick entered the U.S. Army on October 16th 1942. He was commissioned 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps (USAAC) and served as a military personnel officer with the 4525th Army Air Forces Base Unit in the continental United States and in Panama defending the Panama Canal during World War II.
He was awarded the American Defense Service Medal and American Campaign Medal. While on leave from service on January 23rd 1943, he married Elvie Helen [Korpi] and they started a family after the war
LT Gornick was honorably discharged January 13th 1945 at Robins Field, Georgia.
Mr. Gornick died on February 4th 1995 at 78 years of age. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Chisholm, Minnesota.
