Albert J. Niemi

Albert J. Niemi was inducted into the Army on February 27, 1941, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Eveleth, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and supply clerk with the 444th Ordnance Auto Maintenance Company in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

Mr. Niemi was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars

He was honorably discharged on September 27, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
